Pre-Registration for the South Davis Family History Fair

I can always tell when a hint of spring is coming into the air.  It's marked by the pre-registrations for upcoming Family History Fairs and Genealogy Expos.

The 6th Annual St. George Family History Expo will be held February 26-27, 2010.  I've only been able to attend once but some day I will make it back again.  It was fantastic!  Early registration already ended but you still have time to register and go.

Usually the first Family History Conference for me is the South Davis Family History Fair (March 6, 2010) in Bountiful, UT. You can still pre-register.  This conference is the cheapest in cost and materials and has the greatest line up of speakers.  There are 5 tracks with 122 total classes to choose from. A lot of bang for the buck.

The registration is pleasantly different this year.  There is a new website www.familyhistoryfair.com and you will need to register with a username and password for classes. You can pay online for your syllabus too!

The conference itself is FREE. There is a $10 fee to receive online access to the syllabus, and to receive coupons for the digital syllabus via CD and a sack lunch at the fair. You may share the syllabus with others attending with you; they do not need to purchase one, but they need all attendees to register and schedule classes.

A printed copy of the syllabus is available for $15 if ordered by Feb 15. Thereafter the syllabus will only be available online, or by CD at the fair for $25 cash or check only.

Paid attendees may download and print any class syllabus for taking notes and study in advance. They will notify you when these become available.

I was so excited to learn of the CD version.  I have only been writing on my comment sheet every year to make it available on CD. Finally someone has listened.

I hope to see you at the South Davis Family History Fair!
