Saturday Family History Seminar Series at Riverton Library

I attend the first Saturday Family History Seminar at the Riverton Library on July 17th. I was surprised at the very low turnout, about 30 or so attendees. The main presentation and classes I attended where all excellent and offered high caliber instruction. This is going to be a great resource and needed asset for the valley. The price is right: FREE!!

The library itself has had a wonderful turnout, about 700-800 patrons per week using the center. Many groups have gone through averaging about 70-80 people per group. The only issue they have had is unscheduled groups showing up, even after they have been told they couldn't handle them that day. Please do not bring your group if you have not been previously scheduled.

The following is from FamilySearch.

Dear Family History Consultants,

We invite you and any of your friends, neighbors, ward members, or interested genealogy enthusiasts to attend and to help publicize the Riverton FamilySearch Library’s second monthly Saturday Seminar, which will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. There will be three hours of instruction by family history experts covering a wide range of technical and research subjects.
All are invited to come and attend these free classes, which range from basic to advanced level. Details of the classes can be found at www.familysearch.org/fhc/riverton.
Sincerely,
