Consultants

The Fan Chart is a huge hit! If you haven't created one for yourself, you'll be amazed! And so will everyone you show it to. Create your own Fan Chart here.

Help your ward by encouraging consultants and leaders to register for online training. If you haven't received your training, you can do it now by clicking here.

Also, be sure to forward this e-mail to other consultants who haven't registered yet so they can stay up to date, too.

Ward Councils

Each ward was mailed 5 copies of the To Turn the Heartsleadership guide and 1 copy of the DVD in late November 2011.

If you haven't yet done so, please review the DVD Training for My Calling:  Ward Council  (2 minutes), or click here to watch it online.

Feedback:  Tell us about your ward council's experience in using the leadership guide and DVD. Click here to share your story with us.

1940 Census:  Youth organizations can use the 1940 Census as a service project!

RootsTech 2012

If you can attend RootsTech and haven't yet registered, log on here to take advantage of Elder Koelliker's devotional and other free opportunities at this industry-leading family history gathering! While some live streaming will be available, consultant-related content will mainly be accessable only at the event. Church News Article

Sacramento California OMNI Project:
In October 2011, the Sacramento California Stake undertook a project to index one million records--and do it in one month! Read a recent Church Newsarticle to learn more.

1940 United States Census Index

The Church is in need of large numbers of volunteers to assist with indexing the 1940 U.S. Census, which will be made available online beginnng April 2, 2012. Family history consultants, stake indexing directors, family history center directors, and ward council members should instruct those who are interested in participating to visit familysearch.org/1940census to register.

Indexing Update

Did you know that a majority of the approximately 2.5 billion searchable names now available at FamilySearch.org are there because of indexing? View the new web-based training presentation and other materials about indexing at FamilySearch.org.
